Dallas Police have arrested four suspects in the death of an 18-year-old who was fatally struck by a bullet while sleeping last month.

Jesus Garcia Castanon, 27, Oscar Manuel Castanon, 19, Josue Daniel Moreno, 19, and Jaquelyn Renae Gade Garcia, 20, were arrested by Dallas Police on February 22.

All four face murder charges for the death of Crystal Rodriguez and are being held in the Dallas County jail.

As previously reported by The Dallas Express, the victim was hit in the back by a bullet while asleep in her bed at around 2:30 a.m. on January 11.

The incident, which police described as a drive-by shooting, occurred in the 3200 block of Reynolds Avenue, near Dolphin Road south of Interstate 30.

Rodriguez was taken to a hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries.

In a tweet, Dallas Police Chief Eddie García said, “I’m glad I was there to witness it,” as the U.S. Marshals North Texas Task Force served the arrest warrants.

No bail has been set for any of the individuals.
