Here’s your weekend crime update.

Man arrested for DWI:

Dallas Police are investigating after they responded to a call in the 800 block of Salmon Drive early Saturday morning, April 29.

The incident occurred at about 12:20 a.m.

When officers arrived at the crime scene, they discovered an unknown person driving under the influence, according to police.

Officers arrested the suspect for DWI, police said.

The investigation remains ongoing.

Dallas Police Investigate Suspicious Vehicle Call:

On Friday, April 28, at about 3:40 p.m., officers responded to a call involving a suspicious vehicle in the 900 block of Jackson St., police said.

There were no offenses committed at the time of the call, according to police.

Shooting on Cleveland St:

The Dallas Police are investigating a shooting that occurred Friday night, April 28, at about 10:30 p.m.

Officers responded to the shooting call in the 3300 block of Cleveland St.

When officers arrived at the crime scene, they did not locate anyone shot or injured.

Police said there was no offense at the time of the shooting.

At the time of publication, Dallas had seen 8,367 total crimes committed during the month of April — 555 fewer crimes compared to April of 2022. But despite the drop in the overall level of crime, the City is still struggling to address the influx of fentanyl-laced pills into the city.
