Several Dallas eateries and school cafeterias earned perfect marks during recent city health inspections, signaling top-notch food safety practices.

According to the City of Dallas – Code Compliance Services: Consumer Health Division, restaurants and food establishments, including Yummi Sushi, McDonald’s at 5934 Abrams Road, Nature’s Plate LLC, and multiple school cafeterias, scored 100 during routine inspections conducted in early December.

Yummi Sushi, located at 5665 East Mockingbird Lane, received a perfect score on December 8, 2025. The report noted full compliance with food temperature control, sanitation procedures, employee hygiene, and proper utensil handling. “No comments” were recorded. This was not the first time the sushi restaurant earned a 100-point score, according to city records. The Dallas Express reached out to Yummi Sushi for comment, but the restaurant did not respond.

School cafeterias also performed well. Ascher Silberstein Elementary at 3101 Lawnview Avenue, Pinnacle Prep Primary at 2510 South Vernon Avenue, Kleburg Elementary School at 1450 Edd Road, and Inspired Vision Academy II at 8501 Bruton Road all received perfect 100-point scores in early December. Inspectors confirmed compliance across all major areas, including time and temperature for food safety, prevention of contamination, employee health, and physical facilities.

Other high-scoring establishments included Interfaith Family Services at 1651 Matilda Street and Guckenheimer at Texas Instruments SC on 13532 North Central Expressway, both of which earned flawless reports. Observations indicated no violations and full adherence to food safety protocols.

According to the city website, inspection scores are categorized as follows: 100–90 is “very good,” 89–80 is “good,” 79–70 is “passing” but requires re-inspection, 69–60 is “failing,” and 59 and below is considered “unacceptable” and requires closure.

These clean scores arrive as inspections continue to be updated daily, though the city website only displays results as far back as December 4, 2025, when this story was compiled.
