Shooting in Downtown Dallas Leaves Man Dead on Christmas Eve

Dallas Police say a man was fatally shot in downtown Dallas the day before Christmas.

According to The Dallas Morning News, Officers were dispatched to the 1700 block of Cadiz Street, near City Hall after receiving a call at approximately 2:30 p.m.

Upon their arrival at the scene, police found a man had been shot multiple times due to a dispute with another male, police said.

The victim died at a hospital.

Police did not release the name of the victim. They also didn’t provide details about the person who shot him. Investigation into the case, however, is ongoing.

The department is urging anyone with information regarding the case to contact Detective Derrick Chaney at 214-283-4804. Informants can also send an email to [email protected] and refer to case No. 231284-2021.

Anyone with helpful information can also submit tips anonymously at 214-373-8477. Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest and indictment in the case.
