According to the Mesquite Police Department, officers were called to a shooting scene in the 2100 block of Cantura Drive, near Smith Elementary School on Wednesday, Oct. 27, at about 10:51 p.m. Responding officers found a man lying on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds.
The victim was taken to a hospital. Police have released that the man has since died from his wounds. Mesquite PD did not reveal the victim’s identity.
Mesquite police have not made any arrests in connection with the shooting and did not say if a suspect has been identified.
The Mesquite Police Department, who is yet to reveal what led to the shooting, is currently investigating the murder and asking anyone with information that might help solve the case to contact police at 972-216-6791.
