Dallas police have arrested a man in connection to a car accident that left a person in critical condition on Sunday.

Police got a call shortly after 2:30 a.m. about a major accident in the 1700 block of North Cockrell Hill Road, near I-30, and Ledbetter. When officers arrived at the scene, they found that a person walking in the crosswalk had been struck by a car traveling northbound in the left turning lane of the road.

The victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

The driver of the car has been arrested. Police say he was identified in jail records as Devin Reynolds.

Reynolds, 25, has been booked into the Dallas County jail and is charged with intoxication assault with a vehicle.

Police have not revealed further information about the incident. However, they say a bond has not been set.
