The Dallas Police Department is investigating a stray bullet that struck a woman on December 8.
Officers found a 26-year-old lying facedown on the ground outside her apartment at 8564 Lazy Acres Circle.
Police attempted CPR on the victim, identified as Wendy Godoy, until the arrival of Dallas Fire-Rescue who continued to perform CPR and then later transferred to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
The police investigation revealed the stray bullet that hit Godoy came from an apartment adjacent to hers. Investigators are treating Noe Leon-Claudio as a person of interest in the case, and a probable cause warrant has been obtained.
