A fifty-one-year-old Allen man, Robert Eubank, was sentenced to life in prison for the sexual assault of a minor.

Eubank gained access to the nine-year-old because he was close to the child’s family. Following the abuse, the child told a family member, who instantly alerted the Allen police.

“This predator had already sexually assaulted one innocent child before he preyed upon another one. Clearly, he thought he would continue to get away with it. But a brave nine-year-old child spoke up, and now other children will be forever free from his grasp,” Collin County District Attorney Greg Willis said after the conviction.

The case developed in 2016 when Allen Police Department Detective PD Jackson began investigating the incident. The Children’s Advocacy Center of Collin County conducted a forensic interview on the child, but details remain unknown regarding the abuse.

Wylie Police department Detectives determined Eubank was in possession of child pornography and had sexually assaulted another child around the same age. Digital forensic experts Jonathan Johnson and Chris Meehan managed those charges.

Judge Richard Beacom and the jury found Eubank guilty of the first-degree felony of aggravated sexual assault of a child, the punishment for which is five to ninety-nine years or life in prison. The jury sentenced Eubank to life in prison.
