Police arrested a woman they say assaulted several children and one adult after her daughter was ejected from a basketball tournament on February 19.

According to Collin County jail records obtained by The Dallas Morning News, 37-year-old Dominique Graham faces three felony counts of injury to a child and two misdemeanor counts of assault by contact after allegedly attacking several people.

On February 19, shortly after 9:30 a.m., the Plano Police Department received a call alerting officers to a person assaulting multiple people at the Plano Sports Authority in Murphy in the 300 block of North Murphy Road. Upon arriving at the scene, responding officers saw Graham standing outside the building.

Plano Police say Graham told officers that her daughter had gotten into a quarrel with another girl during a basketball tournament and was inside the building apologizing.

Police say witnesses told the officers that Graham’s daughter was ejected from the game, leading her to confront the girl she had quarreled with on the court. Graham apparently became involved in the face-off and ended up assaulting three children and an adult, police said.

The children involved in the alleged assault are ages 12 to 14, while the adult is 46 years old. Police have not released their names but said that none of them suffered serious injuries.

Graham was taken into custody and later released on bond. It is unclear whether Graham has an attorney.

Further details regarding the case are not currently available.
