Man Fatally Shot Outside Lake Highlands Apartment


Dallas police found Trevon Joseph Quick in a parking lot with a gunshot wound.

Dallas Police said a man was shot on Friday, Oct. 1, in the Lake Highlands area.

Dallas police officers responded to a shooting call at about 7:40 p.m. in the 9800 block of Audelia Road, near the intersection of Walnut Hill Lane. The shooting happened near the Lavera apartments, east of Audelia.

Dallas police were investigating a car that had a broken windshield at the scene. Police said the vehicle also had a broken rear window.

Upon arrival, officers found the victim, Trevon Joseph Quick, in an apartment complex parking lot. Police said Quick had a gunshot wound.

Police said that Dallas Fire-Rescue responded to the scene and took Quick to a nearby hospital, where he died from his injury.

Dallas police are currently working to catch the shooter and ask for the public’s help apprehend the shooter. Dallas police ask anyone with information that could lead to an arrest and indictment to contact homicide detective Rawleigh Williams at 214-384-9824 or [email protected]
