A 44-year-old man in Dallas died after being fatally shot at a motel on February 10.

Dallas Police arrived at the Executive Inn Motel located at 12670 E. Northwest Highway around 10:08 p.m. to the victim making a “dying declaration” that his neighbor shot him.

The unidentified man was transported to a hospital, where he died from his injuries.

The alleged shooter, 41-year-old Brandon Martin, fled the scene and was later arrested. He faces a charge for the offense of murder.

According to authorities, the two had an ongoing dispute due to a noise complaint of the victim’s dogs barking. This case is still under investigation.
