La’darrion Blanton, Listed as a “Critical Missing” Person, Found

La’darrion Blanton went missing in Dallas on February 11, and was listed by the Dallas Police Department as a critical missing person. The Dallas Police Department later announced that the 19-year-old was found on February 12, halting the critical missing alert that was issued.

“Mr. Blanton has been located and is safe,” the Dallas Police Department announced after he was located.

In an initial announcement made on DPD Beat, Dallas police said Blanton had been last seen in the 2800 block of Thomas Tolbert Avenue, near Malcom X Boulevard in Dallas.

The Dallas Police Department described La’darrion Blanton as a 5-foot-10-inch tall man of about 215 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

The department originally requested the public’s help in locating Blanton, requesting that anyone who had any information on his whereabouts to contact them via 9-1-1 or at 214-671-4268.

The critical missing alert was updated at approximately 7:03 p.m. on February 12 announcing that Blanton had been found and is safe.

The Dallas Police Department did not give further information about the case. The circumstances surrounding La’darrion Blanton’s disappearance were not released, nor were the details of how he was found.
