With roughly two weeks until Halloween, eateries in the Big D are gearing up to offer spooky specials and parties to get you in the spirit.

Carnival of Horrors at Lounge 31

Check out Lounge 31 in Highland Park Village on Halloween night between 8 p.m. and 12 a.m. to experience “sinister spirits,” great music, and prizes for “those who best embody the spirit of the carnival.” Reservations for the evening can be made on Lounge 31’s website.

Unable to make it Halloween night? The Carnival of Horrors festivities will run for two additional evenings: Friday, November 1, and Saturday, November 2.

Ghostly Goodies from La Casita Bake Shop

CLICK HERE TO GET THE DALLAS EXPRESS APP

La Casita Bake Shop is currently offering Halloween pre-orders that will be ready for pick up before 10 a.m. on October 26. Choose from items like Witch’s Fingers (almond shortbread cookies shaped like fingers, complete with an almond nail), Red Velvet Skull (red velvet cake filled with cream cheese icing and covered with white chocolate), or Werewolf Claws (claw-shaped chocolate croissants), among other items.

Party at the Quarter Bar

The Quarter Bar on McKinney Avenue will serve Halloween-themed drinks from October 21 through 31. For $13, you can sip on Witches Heart, a vodka-based drink made with crème de cassis, apple cider, grenadine, and tonic.

The best part? It illuminates under black light.

On October 26, the Quarter Bar will also host a costume party that kicks off at 10 p.m.

Halloweekend at Bar Louie

From October 31 to November 3, Bar Louie will serve discounted drinks and unique cocktails. Expect $5 Blue Moon drafts and $5 LTO Halloween-inspired shots, like Poison Apple, made with rum, melon liqueur, pineapple, and cream.

Look for Ghosts at the Adolphus Hotel

Last year, The Dallas Express listed the most haunted spots in North Texas. Unsurprising, the Adolphus Hotel, which opened in 1912, made the cut. With a history of supernatural encounters, like unexplained slamming doors and the sound of piano music, what better place to celebrate Halloween than the Adolphus?

While they have not announced any explicit Halloween celebrations, it should be easy to get into the spirit while sipping a cocktail in the lobby’s social bar.
