Fire Destroys Building at Third Monday Trade Days Flea Market

One of the buildings of Third Monday Trade Days in McKinney caught fire on February 22. According to a news release by the McKinney Police Department, police were called to the flea market on 4550 W University Drive shortly after 4:30 a.m.

Responding officers found a fire in a vendor building on the north side of the property.

According to the news release, only three of the six vendor stalls in the building were being used. All of the property in the building was damaged by the fire.

Per CBS 11 News, the Third Monday Trade Days flea market has only recently been reopened after it was closed for a month. It is now under new management.

Police shared that no one was injured in the fire.

Further details of the fire have not been released. Police say their investigation is ongoing.
