A hit-and-run incident on March 6 in Fort Worth, caught on a woman’s dashcam, has left her and her husband feeling “disgusted.”

The car, which was hit around 5 a.m. by another vehicle traveling in the same direction on I-35 W near Meacham Boulevard, can be seen spinning out of control in the video footage.

Less than a minute after the collision, the motorist who hit Crisol Duffin’s car fled the scene.

“The only thing I could think was to just grab my steering wheel really fast and really hard and just let the car do whatever it’s going to do because there’s nothing else I can do. It was so fast,” said Duffin to Fox 4 News. “It was just so terrifying. I thought I was going to hit the wall and roll down. That’s what I thought would happen at that moment.”

According to police, the other vehicle attempted to pass Duffin on the right lane but failed to ensure that the space was clear for the change when he struck her car, causing it to spin out.

She landed in a grassy area and watched as the other driver left. “What a coward,” said Duffin, who was mainly upset because the person took off without ensuring that she was safe after the accident.

Her husband, Eric Duffin, installed the dash camera not long ago due to a previous accident involving their car. He rushed to the scene following his wife’s accident on March 6, and after watching the video, he said he was disgusted. “How can a person then just take off without even checking on somebody? Yeah, I was disgusted,” he said.

The victim was left with a bad neck injury but realizes the outcome could have been worse.

Fort Worth Police are using Duffin’s dashcam footage to continue their investigation.
