Hit-and-Run in Northwest Dallas Leaves One Dead, Another Injured

Dallas police reported that a woman died and another was injured following a hit-and-run in northwest Dallas on Sunday.

According to the police, two women were walking across the 11500 block of Harry Hines Boulevard, near Royal Lane at about 3:30 a.m. Sunday, January 16. They were then struck by a vehicle traveling northbound in the right lane.  

First responders pronounced one of the women dead, and the other was transported to a hospital. Details about her condition have not been released.

According to the police, the driver did not stop to help the victims following the accident.

Police have not provided a description of the vehicle involved in the hit-and-run, nor released additional details of the case.  

Nothing is known about the identity of the driver or the victims. Police say the investigation is ongoing.
