Dallas Police Looking for Suspect in Hit-And-Run

The Dallas Police Department is now looking into a hit-and-run accident that involved a pedestrian at approximately 12:10 a.m. on Sunday. Police are requesting the public’s assistance in investigating the incident.

The June 5 accident occurred in the 3700 block of Cole Avenue between Blackburn Street to the north and Lemmon Avenue to the south. Authorities believe the vehicle was traveling northbound on Cole Avenue while in the southbound lane when it struck the pedestrian.

The motorist fled the scene without stopping to assist the victim, who was taken to a nearby hospital with serious injuries. The patient was said to be in critical condition.

The suspect’s vehicle was described as a small, dark-colored SUV with damage on the front end.

Police are asking that anyone who has information regarding the suspect or knows the vehicle that hit the pedestrian contact Detective Sammy Shaw in Vehicle Crimes at 214-671-0019 and refer to case number 100263-2022.
