Dallas Police Looking for Hit-and-Run Suspect

Dallas police are looking for a suspect in a fatal hit-and-run crash that happened on East Wheatland Road and Interstate 35E in the Red Bird neighborhood of Dallas on December 23. A crew with the Dallas Fire-Rescue was dispatched to the scene at about 7:30 a.m. after getting a report that someone was lying in a parking lot.

According to The Dallas Morning News, the person hit is Willie Clyde Nelson Jr., 56. Investigators said that Nelson Jr. was fatally hit by a vehicle between 12 a.m. and 7 a.m. that day.

Police did not provide descriptions of the suspect or a vehicle. However, the department is urging anyone with information regarding the incident to call Detective R. Rodriguez of the department’s Vehicle Crimes Unit at 214-671-0011.
