Cedar Hill Police Release Identity of Woman Killed in Hair Salon

The Dallas Express previously reported a January 8 car crash in a Great Clips hair salon in Cedar Hill. The vehicle had struck a person in the salon, leaving her unresponsive.

A news report by CBS 11 News says that police have now identified the victim as 54-year-old Janet Hutchins from DeSoto. Hutchins died from her injuries.

The driver of the vehicle involved in the crash has not been identified. Police say he remained at the scene after the crash and was taken later to a local hospital. His injuries are non-threatening.

Cedar Hill police say the investigation into the incident is ongoing. They seek the public’s help in gathering facts relating to the crash. Anyone with information, photos, or videos of the crash is urged to submit them to Sgt. Cooley via 972-293-5181 ext. 2148.
