A Dallas police employee has been arrested on a family violence charge.
Tyteanna Toliver, a police call analyst, faces assault charges after an alleged domestic incident. She was arrested on February 16 by her own department. She’s charged with assault – offensive contact, a Class C misdemeanor related to family violence.
The call analyst joined the department in May 2025. She works in the Communications Bureau, handling emergency calls from the public.
Dallas police placed Toliver on administrative leave pending an internal investigation. The department hasn’t released details about the alleged assault or identified the victim.
Class C misdemeanors in Texas typically involve minor physical contact without injury. Conviction can result in fines up to $500, but no jail time.
