Dallas police have arrested a suspect after a high-speed chase in which the suspect crashed into another car.

The high-speed chase occurred on Wednesday, Sept. 29, during the 5 p.m. rush hour.

In footage released by Fox 4, the suspect could be seen driving at a speed of up to 100 miles per hour at one point. The suspect’s vehicle clipped another vehicle on eastbound Interstate 20 service road near South Lancaster, thus bringing the chase to an end.

The suspect, however, got out of the car and fled on foot. He was seen entering a cold storage facility where Dallas police came and arrested him a few minutes later.

It is still unclear as to what prompted the high-speed chase. However, the Dallas Police Department has a strict policy on when to pursue a suspect, and as such, Dallas police only give chase when the suspect is wanted for a violent crime.
