Auto-Pedestrian Crash on I-30 Leaves One Dead

According to the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office, a fatal auto-pedestrian crash occurred on January 22. They released that a man was struck and killed by a vehicle.

According to The Dallas Morning News, deputies from the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office were called to the scene, between Jim Miller Road and St. Francis Avenue, at about 8:45 p.m. The deputies were told that a man had been hit by a Jeep.

Investigators revealed that the victim, who was using a cane, had been trying to cross the highway when he was struck by the vehicle.

According to The Dallas Morning News, first responders pronounced the victim dead at the scene. The victim’s identity has not been revealed by authorities at this time.

Dallas County Sheriff’s Office released that another pickup truck crashed into the Jeep after it swerved while trying to avoid an auto-pedestrian crash. Unfortunately, the Jeep driver was unable to avoid the man, but no one was injured in either of the vehicles involved.

According to the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office, no charges are expected to be filed against the Jeep’s driver.
