Exciting news for ice cream enthusiasts! Blue Bell Creameries has introduced a new flavor, Honey Vanilla, which is now available in stores. The rollout is accompanied by a statewide tour offering free scoops and enjoyable activities.
The new Honey Vanilla is a straightforward honey-vanilla flavored ice cream, designed for purists who crave uncomplicated indulgence.
“We are buzzing with excitement over the release of our first new flavor of the year,” Carl Breed, Blue Bell vice president, sales & marketing, said in a news release. “Honey Vanilla is for those who love simple flavors done right. The rich, creamy ice cream texture blends perfectly with the honey’s mild sweetness. Honey vanilla was created to enjoy on its own, but it also pairs well with desserts like cookies, cakes and brownies.”
“Our Honey Vanilla is sure to stand out in the ice cream aisle,” Breed said. “The carton is wrapped in an image of a warm yellow honeycomb with a honey jar and dipper. It’s another fun element we like to add when introducing new flavors.”
Adding to the excitement, fan-favorite Java Jolt returns this month in pint size while supplies last. It mixes Blue Bell Coffee Ice Cream with dark chocolate-flavored chunks and a rich coffee fudge swirl.
Meanwhile, the 119-year-old company is hitting the road with its Lone Star Scoop Tour starting in March, offering free ice cream and merchandise at retail spots and community gatherings across Texas.
“The tour is designed to celebrate our amazing fans and retail partners across the Lone Star State,” said Lauren Lewis, Blue Bell public relations manager. “We want to give back to the communities that have supported us for more than 100 years.”
The fun begins March 1 at Fireman’s Park in Brenham, the Ice Cream Capital of Texas and Blue Bell’s hometown, with free treats after Washington County Little League opening ceremonies, from 2-5 p.m.
“We will begin the tour in our own backyard,” Lewis said. “We look forward to treating everyone to free ice cream following the Washington County Little League opening ceremonies.”
From there, a colorful truck and trailer decorated with ice cream scoops and the iconic Blue Bell cow-and-girl logo will travel to San Antonio, Houston, Austin, Dallas, Lubbock, Laredo, and beyond.
“You will know you are in the right place when you see our sweet setup,” Lewis added. “Our stops include Houston, Austin, Dallas, Lubbock, Laredo, and many more cities in between. Everyone is invited to join us for hand-dipped Blue Bell Ice Cream, frozen snacks and fun merchandise. We hope to see you there!”
