Austin-based High 5 Entertainment will open a new location at The Farm in Allen.

High 5 will open the venue, which will occupy three-plus acres of frontage on the south side of SH-121/Sam Rayburn Tollway and Alma Road, in fall 2023, according to a press release.

The Austin-based company’s massive new venue will have bowling, a two-story laser tag arena, axe throwing, escape rooms, and miniature golf. It will also feature bars and event spaces and will serve food and beverages.

High 5, founded by Jennifer and Scott Emley, debuted in the Lakeway area near Austin in 2016. That was followed by a second location, a smaller boutique entertainment venue in central Austin, that opened in 2018.

The new High 5 location will be neighbors to The Hub, a Seaside, Florida-based open-air entertainment venue with restaurant space, event lawn space, a plaza, and a dining pavilion.

The developer behind it all feels confident that The Hub and High 5 will create the atmosphere to transform The Farm in Allen into the mecca of entertainment in Collin County.

Allen-based JaRyCo Development LLC is developing the Farm in Allen. It is planned to have 1.6 million square feet of office space, 142,000 square feet of retail space, a 150-room hotel, 60,000 square feet of restaurants, and 2,400 residential units.

The development will also feature boardwalk restaurants, a 1.5-acre lake, over 2.5 miles of hike-and-bike trails, a 16-acre greenbelt along Watters Creek, and four other park areas.

“Our goal at the Farm in Allen is to bring in a diverse tenant mix that will provide Allen and surrounding communities new and innovative options, and we have found that with High 5,” said Bruce Heller, president of JaRyCo, in a statement. “With a heavily landscaped miniature golf course plus options like axe throwing, virtual reality attractions and a full bar and scratch kitchen, High 5 will offer something for everyone, and we [are] so glad to have them join The Farm.”
