Great Wolf Lodge continues to make headway with its $17 million renovations that will enhance the resort for guests visiting the Grapevine property.
The renovations, which began in 2023, will include several improvements such as an immersive laser tag, a mini bowling alley, an expanded arcade, MagiQuest Adventure (a new live-action game), and an unannounced new attraction, per the Great Wolf Lodge website.
The hotel chain also plans to expand dining options at the resort by adding several restaurants such as Fatburger, Pretzelmaker, and a full-service restaurant called Fireside. The hotel will also be expanding its buffet, Timbers Tables & Kitchen, according to the Dallas Business Journal.
Great Wolf Lodge will also be upgrading its Grand Lobby, where the hotel holds Epic Story Times for its guests, as stated on the company’s website. The Legend of Luna will be added to this storytime as a new interactive experience for guests.
In addition to the restaurants and other features, the hotel chain will also add more deck space by the pool area and a new outdoor bar called The Outpost, as reported by DBJ.
The changes being made to the Grapevine resort will be the biggest in Great Wolf Lodge history since it began operation in 2007, the DBJ stated.
Great Wolf Lodge remains open to the public during its renovations, which began at the end of 2023, according to The Dallas Morning News. The standard suite costs between $300 and $350 per night, including water park passes.
Amy Lane, the general manager of the Grapevine property, told DMN more about what the company hopes to accomplish through the renovations.
“Ultimately, we want to make sure we are staying competitive within the market,” Lane told DMN. “Regardless of what’s happening in the market…our purpose [is to bring] joy to families.”
The renovations come amid increasing competition from other theme parks and resorts in the metroplex, including a planned Universal Studios theme park in Frisco and a Peppa Pig theme park in North Richland Hills, as previously reported by The Dallas Express.
