The Federation of Defense & Corporate Counsel (FDCC) has designated a membership spot for Doug Fletcher, co-founder of a business defense law firm Fletcher, Farley, Shipman & Salinas LLP. Membership for FDCC is narrow and carefully chosen.

According to the website of Super Lawyer, “Douglas Fletcher has earned the respect of peers as one of the top-rated attorneys in the nation.”

A press release stated, “The FDCC is composed of recognized leaders in the legal community who have achieved professional distinction and is dedicated to promoting knowledge, fellowship, and professionalism of its members as they pursue the course of a balanced justice system and represent those in need of a defense in civil lawsuits.”

There are more than 1,400 members of the FDCC worldwide, such as the United States, Canada, Europe, and Australia.

The Board of Directors within the group receives a recommendation from “an independent admissions committee” after they have researched recommended individuals they believe could have the potential qualifications. The Board of Directors will then decide on the nominee based on the information provided to them.

Doug Fletcher is an attorney at the “business defense firm” called Fletcher, Farley, Shipman & Salinas LLP, with offices in Austin and Dallas. According to the law firm’s website, the firm has been in business for more than twenty-five years.

The press release states, “Doug has become known to corporate clients and opposing counsel as a formidable presence in the high-stakes, high-level Texas litigation arena. He has successfully litigated more than 150 trials to verdict in matters ranging from complex personal injury, transportation, product liability, premises liability, Dram Shop liability, and numerous other matters involving serious exposure to the firm’s corporate clients.”

Fletcher was the Assistant District Attorney for Dallas County in 1978. He is passionate about law, dedicated to his work and clients, and holds strong values. From 2010 to 2021, Thomas Reuters has called him the “Texas Super Lawyer” that is an “Advocate of the American Board of Trial Advocates” and a “Life Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation.”

Fletcher speaks in front of “legal groups” and is actively involved in law educational forums for continued education. He is active in church, a Boy Scouts of America volunteer, and a Boy Scouts of America Circle Ten Council Executive Board member.

His law firm goes above and beyond for his clients by implementing a “Rapid Response Team” that “provides a legal forensic service that can be deployed nationwide around the clock, within moments, to assist clients in responding to catastrophic losses.”
