The Dallas restaurant company that owns Maggiano’s Little Italy has named Dominique Bertolone to executive roles at both.

Bertolone has been tapped as senior vice president for Brinker International Inc., the parent company of Maggiano’s, Chili’s and It’s Just Wings, in addition to Maggiano’s president.

“The opportunity to helm the Maggiano’s brand is an honor, and I can’t wait to continue building on its incredible growth and potential,” Bertolone said in a news release. “This role will allow me to blend my passions for amazing people, team culture, food, drinks, and Guest service standards – all rooted in my own Italian roots. I’ve heard incredible things about the Brinker team and culture and look forward to joining the team.”

A native of Monaco, Bertolone has more than 20 years of food and beverage experience in the restaurant and hospitality industries. Most recently, he was senior vice president of Food and Beverage Strategy and Development at MGM Resorts International in Las Vegas. He’s also worked at Bellagio Resort and Casino and SBM Hospitality Group in Monaco.

“Dominique is the perfect leader to usher in the next wave of Maggiano’s growth,” Kevin Hochman, Brinker’s president and CEO, said in a statement. “His experience leading all types of foodservice concepts has direct application to accelerating the three Maggiano’s channels of dine-in, off premise and banquets, as well as developing the next generation of Maggiano’s restaurants.”

In North Texas, Maggiano’s Little Italy has stores at NorthPark Center in Dallas and The Shops at Willow Bend in Plano. The restaurant features Italian-American cuisine with a menu of steaks, pastas, salads, seafood and specialty desserts.

Founded in Dallas in 1975, Brinker owns, operates or franchises more than 1,600 restaurants across the world. The company trades on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol “EAT.”
