Vehicle Accessories Inc., an automotive products company, will move its new headquarters along with 315 jobs and its $13.5 million annual payrolls from Sunnyvale and other locations to Mesquite. Next year, the company will move into a new 310,000 square-foot building near east Scyene Road and Faith on P. Lucas Sr. Boulevard.

“I can’t thank Mesquite enough for making this project a reality,” J. Pearson, chairman and CEO of Vehicle Accessories, told the Mesquite City Council. “We are committed to Mesquite. This is home.”

The automotive company manufactures protective door edge guards for vehicles, splash guards, bodyside moldings, bumper protectors, and door sills. The products are sold for Toyota, Lexus, Ford, Subaru, Nissan, Infiniti, Honda, General Motors, and Chrysler vehicles.

Mesquite approved the development plan in May. The company’s new headquarters will now be located at developer Urban Logistics Realty’s new Alcott Logistics Station business park. This new location is slated to occupy over two million square feet of warehouse space.

Developer Jackson Shaw Industrial will build Vehicle Accessories’ new headquarters.

“We chose Mesquite for this project based on the professionalism and the desire of the city to bring this entire master development to fruition,” said Michael Flowers. Mr. Flowers is vice president of development at Jackson Shaw Industrial.
