Another restaurant is expected to open this year at McKinney & Olive, a 20-story luxury office building in Uptown Dallas.

Feng Shui would become the fifth such business at that location, joining Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse, Doc B’s Restaurant + Bar, Mexican Sugar, and Leela’s Wine Bar. According to a Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation filing, Feng Shui will open in Suite 150 after completing renovations at the 4,010-square-foot space.

Feng Shui is an “Asian-fusion” restaurant that offers Japanese, Chinese, and Thai cuisines, according to its website. The renovations are expected to be completed in May, and Dallas-based Michell Garman Architects is listed as the design firm on the filing.

Dallas-based Granite Properties and Highwood Properties of Raleigh, North Carolina, acquired the mixed-use McKinney & Olive in late 2022, describing it as “a very strong addition to our Dallas portfolio,” according to a news release at the time.

McKinney & Olive features 507,000 square feet of office space, 50,000 square feet of retail space, and a one-acre piazza with walkable amenities near the Dallas Arts District and Klyde Warren Park. Delivered in 2016, McKinney & Olive was designed by world-renowned architect the late Cesar Pelli. It covers more than three acres at McKinney Avenue and Olive Street, adjacent to The Ritz Carlton.

A privately-held commercial real estate investment, development, and management company, Granite Properties owns 11.5 million square feet of office space in Dallas, Houston, Denver, Atlanta, Boston, Nashville, and California. Highwood owns, develops, leases, acquires, and manages properties in Dallas, Charlotte, Atlanta, Orlando, Nashville, Richmond, Tampa, and Raleigh.
