Prestonwood Christian Academy (PCA) star volleyball player Samantha Bergeron has signed to play at Knox College.

Bergeron first joined the PCA program as a setter on the school’s top 7th-grade team.

“Sami is a great team player and hardworking athlete. She set for the varsity squad this last season as a senior,” said varsity volleyball head coach Jillian Bryant. “She worked hard every day and led the team well with her competitive spirit and positive attitude. Sami has truly left her mark here on our program and will be missed. We are very excited to see what God has in store for her at Knox College in Illinois.”

In all, four PCA players recently signed letters of intent, earning the approval of PCA head of schools Dr. Mike Goddard.

“At Prestonwood Christian Academy our goal is that students would enter the classroom or athletic field being challenged to go above and beyond,” he said. “I commend these students for the work, time and effort that they have put into their sports as well as their academics all while giving glory to God.”
