Taco Bell is set to launch a new beverage concept, with a trial location landing in Dallas.

Known as Live Más Café, the store-within-a-store opens on November 6 at 5506 E Mockingbird Ln.

Thirsty patrons will have a choice between 30 specialty beverages prepared by “Bellristas.”

The new concept from Taco Bell follows a similar attempt by McDonald’s. In March last year, The Dallas Express reported that the Golden Arches launched its beverage-focused locations known as CosMc’s in North Texas. However, the spinoff pilot did not last long, with the fast food giant shuttering the spots around a year later.

Live Más Café was inspired by Gen Z’s fondness for customizable drinks. Expect creations like Churro Chillers alongside specialty coffees and Dirty Mountain Dew Baja Blas Dream sodas. Patrons can also enjoy Taco Bell’s Refrescas, fruity flavored drinks and teas like the Dragonfruit Strawberry drink, a mix of dragonfruit, berry flavors, freeze-dried strawberry pieces, and green tea.

Taco Bell says its focus on beverages isn’t just about new menu items; it is also about redefining the guest experience, aiming to make its drinks as iconic as its food.

“We’re seeing today that people, especially younger consumers, are reaching for refreshing drinks as part of their lifestyle, whether it’s for energy or a sweet treat throughout the day,” says Taco Bell’s Global Chief Food Innovation Officer Liz Matthews in a statement, per CultureMap Dallas. “So, we’re making big investments to become the ultimate beverage stop where our fans can expect to see the same bold, unexpected creativity in their cups as they do on their plates.”

When it opens, the Dallas Live Más Café location will be the first outside of California, where Taco Bell tested its first location this summer in Chula Vista before expanding to Irvine, San Diego, and Los Angeles County. The Mexican-inspired fast-food chain plans to open around 30 locations across Southern California and Texas, including additional locations in Dallas.
