The biggest fight of the year is Friday in North Texas, and here’s everything you need to know.
On November 15, the legendary boxer Mike Tyson will enter the ring to face off with social media star and entrepreneur Jake Paul here in North Texas.
The match was supposed to take place on July 20 but was postponed following an injury sustained by Tyson. As a result, the fight was pushed to November.
Where is the fight taking place?
The Paul-Tyson fight is taking place at the 80,000-seat AT&T Stadium in Arlington. As previously reported by The Dallas Express, the State of Texas and the City of Arlington committed to paying at least $1.8 million to help bring the massive event to the City.
What time does the fight start?
The event will be streamed live on Netflix starting at 7 p.m. CT. Tyson and Paul are expected to begin their ring walk around 9 p.m. CT, though the time can vary depending on how long the preceding fights last.
Who will win?
That is the million-dollar question. Tyson is 58, while Paul is less than half his age at 27. Tyson was a feared fighter in his prime, but Paul is an impressive up-and-coming contender with much to prove. As of November 13, BetMGM had the following odds on the fight:
- Paul win: -175
- Tyson win: +180
- Tie: +900
Who else is fighting?
In addition to the heavyweight bout between Tyson and Paul, Netflix will stream six other matches throughout the evening:
- Super Lightweight (Taylor’s IBF, WBA, WBC, and WBO women’s super-lightweight titles): Katie Taylor vs. Amanda Serrano
- Welterweight (Barrios’ WBC welterweight title): Mario Barrios vs. Abel Ramos
- Super Middleweight: Neeraj Goyat vs. Whindersson Nunes
- Super Middleweight (vacant women’s WBO super middleweight title): Shadasia Green vs. Melinda Watpool
- Super Lightweight: Lucas Bahdi vs. Armando Casamonica
- Featherweight: Bruce Carrington vs. Dana Coolwell
