Those hoping to see Round 2 of the Biden-Trump debate series must have been deeply disappointed when President Joe Biden called his re-election campaign quits, but apparently, former President Donald Trump said he’d take Vice President Kamala Harris on in more than one debate before November.

As previously reported by The Dallas Express, Biden’s debate performance became infamous because of the shocking degree to which the 81-year-old commander-in-chief’s cognitive decline was on display. The disastrous showing marked the beginning of the end of a decades-long political career.

While Harris is likely to put up a better fight than her boss, Trump suggested on Tuesday that the result will ultimately be no different, considering Biden and Harris share the same policy perspectives and own the last few years of inflation and border insecurity.

Here’s some of what Fox News reported on the prospects of a Trump-Harris debate:

Former President Trump says he’s open to debating Vice President Harris more than once as the two face off in the 2024 presidential election.

“Absolutely. I’d want to. I think it’s important,” Trump said Tuesday when asked by Fox News’ Bill Melugin on a conference call with reporters if he would commit to debating Harris at least once.

“I would be willing to do more than one debate, actually,” Trump said.

Minutes later, Trump noted, “I haven’t agreed to anything. I agreed to a debate with Joe Biden.”

President Biden, in a blockbuster announcement Sunday, suspended his 2024 re-election rematch with Trump and endorsed his vice president. The move by Biden ignited a surge of endorsements by Democrat governors, senators, House members and other party leaders backing Harris to succeed Biden as the party’s 2024 standard-bearer.
