La La Land Kind Cafe is bringing more sunshine to west Fort Worth, as the cafe plans to expand its operation to another part of the metroplex.

The Dallas-based coffee shop filed a state application to open a cafe at 5733 Camp Bowie Blvd. in place of a Smoothie King franchise. La La Land Kind Cafe will be competing with several coffee shops within a four-block radius, including two Starbucks locations and two independent coffee shops, reported the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.

The new Fort Worth location is estimated to cost $350,000 and is expected to be completed by October, per the state application.

The cafe is modeled around happiness, with its signature yellow branding and baristas who offer words of encouragement to customers. According to the coffee chain’s website, its mission is to “… prove that a business can be kind, give back, care about their community, and serve high quality products while still making a profit.”

La La Land Kind Cafe took the internet by storm with its TikTok account, which features drive-by videos of employees complimenting random strangers on the street, telling them they look beautiful.

With nearly 6.5 million followers on TikTok, the famous coffee chain has received press in The New York Times, on the Forbes.com website, and even on The Kelly Clarkson Show after hiring foster care teenagers.

Francois Reihani, founder of La La Land Kind Cafe, has also been involved in several restaurant openings in the Dallas area, including Pōk The Raw Bar and Bar Stellar, per the Star-Telegram.

Reihani founded the We Are One Project, which empowers foster youth to seek employment opportunities and mentor them along the way, giving them the tools they need to be successful.

La La Land Kind Cafe has been in operation for five years and currently has 12 locations across Dallas, Houston, and Los Angeles.
