It has been yet another bloody weekend in Texas.
Following the tragic shooting in southeastern Texas’ San Jacinto County that left five dead, including a child, another horrific shooting in Allen has left nine people dead and a community heartbroken, as reported by The Dallas Express.
Here in Dallas, another officer-involved shooting, along with a string of homicides, occurred over the weekend.

Elderly Man Gunned Down on Coogan Drive
A 73-year-old man was gunned down Friday evening, May 5, at about 7:05 p.m., according to Dallas police.
Officers were called to a residence in the 10600 block of Coogan Drive.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found a man, whom police identified as Alvaro Sosa, with a gunshot wound.
Sosa died from his injuries, according to police.
The police have not named a suspect.
The investigation remains ongoing.

Man Killed in Shooting on Frankford Road
Dallas police are investigating a shooting that occurred early Saturday morning on May 6, at approximately 1:30 a.m.
Officers were called to the 3500 block of Frankford Road in response to a reported shooting, according to police.
When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered that the victim, whom police identified as 50-year-old Chance Domel Harris, had been shot.
Harris was transported by a private vehicle to a local hospital, where he died from his injuries, police said.

Woman Critically Injured in Shooting on MLK Boulevard
A woman was shot in South Dallas early Saturday at about 2:30 a.m., according to the Dallas Police Department.
Officers responded to a 911 call in the 1900 block of MLK Boulevard, police said.
When officers arrived at the scene, a woman who had been shot was discovered in the area, according to police.
The victim was transported to a local hospital in critical condition, police said.
Her identity has not been released.
The investigation remains ongoing.
The shooting incident took place in District 7, which is represented by Dallas City Council Member Adam Bazaldua, who, according to unofficial results, was narrowly re-elected and avoided a runoff.
Officer-Involved Shooting on Robert B Cullum Boulevard
An officer-involved shooting occurred on Saturday after Dallas police encountered a man allegedly armed with a gun, according to police.
On May 6, at 3:11 a.m., Dallas police responded to an “armed encounter on foot call” at 2660 Robert B Cullum Blvd.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found a man with a gun, police said.
Officers told the man to drop the gun multiple times, according to police.
The man reportedly refused to drop the weapon, firing it into the air and running towards a vehicle waiting at a light with someone inside it.
Police returned fire, hitting the man.
Officers administered first aid until Dallas Fire-Rescue arrived, according to police.
The man was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The shooting also took place in District 7, which is represented by Dallas City Council Member Adam Bazaldua, who was in a hotly contested bid for re-election.

Teen Dies from Gunshot Wound on Legendary Lane
Dallas police are investigating a shooting that left a teenager dead.
On Saturday at 4:30 p.m., officers responded to a shooting call in the 3600 block of Legendary Lane.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found a male teen suffering from a gunshot wound, police said.
The teen was taken to a local hospital and died from his injuries.
A female victim was also injured in the shooting, police said.
She was transported to a local hospital and treated for a non-life-threatening injury.
The investigation is ongoing.

Man Fatally Shot on Holmes Street
Dallas police are investigating a shooting that left a man dead on Saturday at 8:40 p.m.
Officers were called to the 2800 block of Holmes Street, represented by Dallas City Council Member Adam Bazaldua.
When officers arrived on the scene, they found a man, identified as 27-year-old Drevonta Wheeler, who had been shot.
Wheeler was transported to a local hospital, where he died from his injuries, police said.
Another male victim was also shot, police said. He was transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
