According to Dallas County Health and Human Services, Dallas County recorded ten new COVID-positive deaths on February 3.
Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins provided details about the deceased via a Twitter post which revealed that the count includes people of various ages ranging from their 40s to 90s.
Per the report, the deaths involved a man in his 40s, a man in his 50s, a woman in her 60s, a man and a woman in their 70s, a man in his 80s, and three women and one man in their 90s. According to Jenkins’ post, all of the people who died were already hospitalized or in hospice care, and had underlying health conditions.
As of noon on February 3, the number of Dallas County residents who have died from COVID-related illness since March 2020 is 5,788. This is out of a cumulative total of 453,763 COVID-positive cases as confirmed by a PCR test and a cumulative total of 95,476 probable cases as determined by an antigen test.
An additional 1,825 new COVID-positive cases were also reported; however, 247 of those new cases are considered probable as they were administered via antigen tests.
