OBITUARY

Margaret Mardena Cunningham

JULY 6, 1921 – JUNE 29, 2021

Margaret Mardena “DENA” Cunningham, born July 6, 1921 in Potosi, Texas. She lived in Arlington, Texas until February 3, 2018 before moving to Bandera, Texas after a fall.

Dena is preceded in death by her husband; Donald, Son; Dale, daughters; Darlene Marcus, Dianne Wells, Debbie White and Parents Ed and Leta Petree.

She was survived by Sons; Dow Cunningham of Cleburne, Tx., Dennis Cunningham of Emory, TX., and David Cunningham of Colorado Springs, Colo., Daughter; Donna and her husband Tim Witt of Bandera, Tx., 9 grandchildren, 13 biological, plus 2 by marriage great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Granny loved hearing a dirty joke and loved playing practical jokes, especially on April Fools Day by adding food coloring to the milk, sometimes sewing a seam across one pants leg and telling you that you’re late for the school bus, while you hopped around the room trying to get your in the sewed up pant leg.

Dena loved everyone and was called Arlington’s Granny by many. (The family is inviting everyone to share their favorite story of Granny).
