27-Year-Old Dies After Being Shot in Oak Lawn

A 27-year-old man has reportedly died from gunshot wounds that he sustained over the weekend in Oak Lawn. 

According to a post on the DPD Beat, the Dallas Police Department officers responded to a shooting call On July 31st, 2021, at approximately 2:40 a.m. The shooting incident occurred at the 3700 block of Lemmon Avenue. Upon their arrival at the scene, officers found Kevin Li, a 27-year-old who was shot inside a grey 4-door Toyota Camry. Li had been shot in the head and was later transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition. Police did not immediately say whether the victim was expected to survive and his identity was also not revealed. The Dallas County medical examiner’s office said Li died later on Saturday. 

Police did not identify any suspect in connection with the shooting or reveal if an arrest has been made. Police have also not established any motives for the Saturday shooting.
