From Sept. 15 through Oct. 15, North Texas will celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month across the region. A number of fun events have been coordinated that include festivals and fairs to celebrate the rich culture of Hispanic Americans and their contributions to the U.S.

This year’s theme for the celebration is “Esperanza: A Celebration of Hispanic Heritage and Hope.”

Texas LatinX Pride Fest 2021

The festival brings together the Hispanic community as well as the LGBTQIA+ community in one big celebration in honor of both. The festival will feature performances by local bands, food, dancing, food vendors, guest reality TV performers, artwork displays, retail goods and more.

The Texas LatinX Pride Fest 2021 will take place on Sept. 25 from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Reverchon Park, 3505 Maple Avenue in Dallas.

Mexican Rodeo Celebration

Rodeo riders will celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with a competition at the State Fair of Texas Fairgrounds.

The event will take place on Sept. 26 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at 3809 Grand Avenue in Dallas.

Mexican Independence Day Celebration

In recognition of Mexico’s Independence Day a celebration will be held on Sept. 16. The celebration will include mariachi, folkloric dance, and free candy for all.

The event will take place at AT&T Discovery, 308 S Akard Street in Dallas. Parking will be available at 1212 Jackson Street.

Nuestro Oak Cliff Photography Exhibit

Together the Latino Cultural Center and the Dallas Mexican American Historical League will host Nuestro Oak Cliff. The photography exhibit will showcase the history and changes of the neighborhood’s transition through the times.

The event will be held on Sept. 23 through Oct. 16 between 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Visit the exhibit at 2600 Live Oak Street in Dallas.

Latinidades: A Festival of Latina Theatre

The celebration will dive into the Cara Mía Theatre’s 25-year long residency. The event will feature live music, puppets, dance groups, food and drink. The event will be held at the Latino Cultural Center on Sept. 22 at 7:30 p.m. Admission is free to all.
