Tarrant County Republican Party Chairman Bo French is sounding the alarm on county-wide voting.

“As the Tarrant County Chair (largest red county in nation), I am calling on the Tarrant County Commissioners Court (@TarrantCountyTX) to immediately end county wide voting. We cannot risk it this time,” French posted on X.

“I know the excuse is ‘but SB924 doesn’t allow for us to assign multiple precincts to a polling location.’ Well, for many reasons that law is unconstitutional. Are you going to follow an unconstitutional law, jeopardize the integrity of the vote and risk secrecy of ballot issues?” French added.

As previously reported by The Dallas Express, county-wide voting has faced public scrutiny after a series of reports showed flaws in the system.

Shannon Barnett, who leads the organization “My Vote Counts in Texas,” was the first to identify a loophole for identifying and publicizing primary ballots.

Due to these ballot security flaws, Barnett’s group calls for hand-counted paper ballots and an end to county-wide voting.

Other groups have also called for an end to county-wide voting as well.

Citizens for Election Integrity has also called for an end to county-wide voting following a recount in the March 2024 primary for a constable primary election race.

“The findings from the Hanson recount are disconcerting. They’re not just significant for this particular race, but they raise crucial questions about the overall reliability of Tarrant County’s election process. It’s astounding to see such substantial discrepancies in tight races, with a net shift of 28 votes in this recount and a host of other anomalies,” Rosalie Escobedo, Tarrant County GOP HD area leader, previously told DX.
