Fort Worth Police Department families are rallying together to support Officer Mical Fenner and his family.
Officer Fenner has undergone triple bypass surgery and has been diagnosed with cancer, which required him to go through chemotherapy and radiation. Recently Officer Fenner suffered a stroke and his cancer has metastasized, according to a message on Give InKind, an online tool for organizing support.
“As you can imagine, no one is ever prepared for so much. This is where Officer Fenner’s blue family can step in to relieve a tremendous amount of stress for him and his family!” the Give InKind webpage states.
“The best way that we can support Mical and his family is through monetary donations and helping with meals as they are constantly at the hospital. Any contribution, no matter how small, is greatly appreciated. We are working on getting a [GoFundMe] or other method of donation set up for the Fenner family.”
The news has led to public support from the Fort Worth community.
“Every donation, big or small, will make a difference. Let’s rally together to support Officer Fenner and show him the strength of his blue and community family,” the President of the Fort Worth Brotherhood for the Fallen, Jimmy Pollozani, posted on Facebook.
