Why is the vice president over Marketing, Events, and Communications for the Fort Worth Chamber, Angela Hall, trashing the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo?

“I hate rodeo season,” Hall said in a personal Facebook post she appears to have since deleted.

“I hate seeing all the posts on the buy/sell pages with their rodeo furs, bling, boots and hats that they themselves only wear once. I hate the smell of manure and I’m allergic as all get out to horses, so I don’t go. I wouldn’t want to anyway because I’ve been and hate to see the way the cows are jerked when they are lassoed. I do quite like the wagon and barrel races though. I hate the expensive, enticing midway that Clark asks to go to every time we drive by. If I do ANYTHING related to the stock show and rodeo, it’s shopping since a lot of cool artists and vendors come in for this three week spectacle,” Hall said.

Hall joined the Chamber in 2024 whose purpose is to advocate for and promote the business community.

“Angela Hall joined the Fort Worth Chamber in 2024 as the Vice President over Marketing, Events, and Communications. In this role, she oversees the strategic direction of the Chamber’s signature events, impactful messaging, and public reputation of the Fort Worth Chamber brand. She has a long history of promoting Fort Worth values in our unique, relationship-centric business environment,” according to the Fort Worth Chamber website.

Some residents and small business owners have questioned why a senior Chamber of Commerce executive whose job it is to promote business in the city would publicly trash Fort Worth’s single biggest and highest profile event that literally defines Cowtown’s global identity.

“As an African-American small business, I can assure you there is not another event in Fort Worth, Texas that has helped us grow and expand Danette’s Urban Oasis,” local business owner Danette Wicker wrote on Facebook, referring to the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo.

Hall has a history of politically charged social media posts containing far-left rhetoric and images such as, “Bernie NOT FOR SALE,” a pro-BETO post, and a “NOT MY PRESIDENT,” post in reference to President-elect Donald Trump.

The Dallas Express reached out to Hall but did not receive a response.
