69-year-old Texas woman Dena Katherine Harris Storch was arrested Saturday for the murder of her husband, 82-year-old Lothar Storch, according to a press release from the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office. The murder happened on September 1, 2021, and occurred from a gunshot resulting in Storch’s death.
In the press release, the police stated Mrs. Storch talked with detectives and gave them a full confession.
“On September 4, 2021, Detectives with the Sheriff’s Office were able to obtain a voluntary confession from the accused.”
At this time, it appears to be no other individuals involved in the shooting death of Mr. Storch. The Sheriff’s department said they had no evidence to prove otherwise. Dena was said to have shot her husband to death at a home near the Timon area, where Mr. Storch’s body was discovered by the deputies on the scene.
Thereafter, they were granted a search warrant and began searching the home for any evidence to conclude and corroborate with Mrs. Storch’s confession. Currently, she is the sole perpetrator in the case but there is an ongoing investigation.
