Advocates for gender transitioning reportedly clashed with women who define womanhood by biological sex, some of whom previously identified as transgender, during a Saturday rally in Austin.

Let Women Speak Austin, hosted by the Independent Women’s Network, featured speakers advocating for continuing to divide spaces like restrooms and locker rooms by biological sex. The event was protested by activists supporting gender transitions.

“Me and other feminists were hosting an event, sharing [our] stories and anti and radical trans activists came to silence us,” speaker Laura Becker told Fox News.

Becker is a “detransitioner” — meaning that she, as a biological female, formerly lived as a transgender man but has since returned to living as a woman. She began receiving testosterone injections at 19 and had her breasts surgically removed nine months later.

Becker told Fox News that pro-gender transitioning activists “disrupted the event,” drowned out speakers by shouting through microphones, and seemed to be in a “cult-like trance.”

“Hey hey, ho ho, these fascists have got to go,” the activists shouted repeatedly. “Trans rights are human rights. … Trans lives matter.”

Let Women Speak attendees responded, “Women’s rights are human rights.”

The activists also chanted, “Hey hey, ho ho, this TERF party has got to go.”

TERF — an acronym for “trans-exclusionary radical feminist” — is a term used by LGBTQ activists to describe a feminist who maintains that biological males living as transgender women should not have access to spaces and groups reserved exclusively for biological females.

During Saturday’s event, a lesbian speaker lambasted the activists who shame individuals for not being attracted to people who are transgender. She referred to this pressure as “conversion therapy,” per Fox News.

“We do not like d–k. … We are homosexuals, and we are human females. … We exclusively like our same sex, not on the basis of gender identity,” she said, per Fox News. “And to force lesbians to unpack our ‘genital preference’ is conversion therapy. You are trying to convert lesbians to be heterosexual.”

Speakers such as detransitioner Prisha Mosley shared their personal experiences with the crowd. Mosley also received testosterone injections and had her breasts removed.

“Lobotomies do not work,” she said, per The Post Millenial. “‘Gender affirming’ care does not work.”

“Womanhood is not a feeling. Gender is not the soul. Medical technology cannot magically change your sex. No child is born in the wrong body,” speaker Libby Emmons declared, according to The Post Millennial.

“We are not long hair and dresses, we are not lipstick and high heels, we are simple female, we are half of the species, and what we are is not negotiable.

“You’ve taken too much from us, and we want it back. We want it all back. We’re here to take it. We are taking back our words, our bodies, our spaces, our lives.

“Speak up. Don’t back down. Truth matters. Reality is worth fighting for.”
