Urn Containing Fetus Found Floating in Texas Pond

A “distressing discovery” in The Woodlands, Texas, on Tuesday alerted authorities to a troubling incident, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office reported.

A human fetus in the early stages of development was discovered inside an urn floating in a pond at Copper State Park located on South Golden Arrow Circle. A Woodlands Township Park Ranger stumbled upon the urn containing the fetus shortly before 4 p.m. while patrolling the area.

The Montgomery County Forensic Center’s death investigators and detectives from the sheriff’s office swiftly responded to the scene to commence investigations into the incident.

An autopsy is currently underway at the Montgomery County Forensics Center to ascertain the cause of death and gather crucial evidence, according to MCSO.

MCSO issued a statement acknowledging the gravity of the situation and its potential impact on the community. The department further emphasized the importance of unity and support during such challenging times, assuring the public that efforts are underway to gather additional information and provide updates as they become available.

“In times like these, it is important for us to come together in support and prayer. Please know that we are working diligently to gather more information and will provide updates as they become available,” said MCSO.
