“We are heartbroken and anxiously waiting for all of them to be found,” she posted. “Thank you for your prayers.”

The deadly flooding occurred after heavy rain caused the Guadalupe River to surge more than 26 feet in under an hour, according to Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick. First responders have been searching the Hill Country for five straight days, using helicopters and rescue boats to locate survivors and retrieve bodies.

Kerr County has been hit hardest by the floods, with at least 87 confirmed deaths in a community of just 25,000 residents.

Green, known for hits like “Wave on Wave” and “Carry On,” asked for privacy as his family processes the loss.

“Thank you for your love, prayers and compassion,” he said. “We kindly ask for privacy and space as we mourn, support each other, and begin to process what comes next for our family.”

The Kerrville disaster has devastated the area, with multiple families still awaiting word on missing loved ones.
