Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton’s office has detained 50 illegal aliens across the Houston metropolitan area, turning them over to federal immigration authorities as part of ongoing enforcement efforts.

The operations, carried out by the office’s Criminal Investigation Division, targeted sites and businesses associated with criminal activity, according to a January 7 statement from Paxton’s office.

“Texas has been invaded by foreign illegals who rob Americans of their safety and opportunity,” said Paxton.

“Under the corrupt Biden Administration, tens of millions of aliens flooded our country and brought disaster, disease, and crime. Alongside the Trump Administration, my office helps round up these criminals and send them back to where they came from. My message to the illegal aliens who’ve invaded our country and are now detained is simple: Adios!”

The illegal aliens were handed over to the Department of Homeland Security and Immigration and Customs Enforcement for deportation proceedings.

Paxton’s office became the first law enforcement agency in Texas to enter into a 287(g) agreement during Trump’s second term, allowing it to partner with federal officials on immigration enforcement and deportations.

The attorney general’s office is collaborating with local and federal agencies to continue identifying, arresting, and removing illegal aliens to enhance public safety.
