As the multi-year $233 million Interstate 30/SH 360 Interchange Project in Arlington continues, authorities are warning that bridge construction in Arlington will cause road closures on the north and southbound lanes of State Highway 360 from Brown Boulevard to Six Flags Drive through the weekend. Hence, they are advising residents to use alternate routes.
Weather permitting, the road closure is expected to start at 8 p.m. on September 9 and end at 5 a.m. on September 12.
Drivers are urged to plan their movements around road closures on those days and add extra time to their commute. Authorities, however, say a marked detour will be put in place to direct motorists through the closure times.
According to the official City of Arlington website, the City “has partnered with Waze to give drivers the best experience possible to get around town” during the construction project and, “find optimal routes, avoid road closures and more.” Waze is a crowd-sourced navigation app that provides real-time driving instructions based on live traffic patterns.
