An SUV carrying five teens crashed into a creek in Carrollton, sending them to an area hospital Wednesday afternoon.

The crash happened shortly after 2 p.m. in the 1700 block of Parker Road, west of Josey Lane.

Police said the vehicle was traveling westbound when the driver lost control of the vehicle. The SUV went airborne and landed upside down in a creek.

All of the teens in the vehicle were 17 years old and attended Hebron High School in Lewisville, police said.

Three of the teens sitting in the backseat were hospitalized. One male passenger was admitted in critical condition.

The other two teens are not believed to have suffered any serious injuries.

Police are investigating the cause of the SUV crash.

Carrollton police released a statement on their Twitter account.
