Choctaw Casino & Resorts revealed the third and final winner of its “3 Months. 3 Millionaires.” giveaway on Sunday.

Choctaw announced on August 26 that North Texas resident Stephanie S. had won $1 million in the grand prize drawing. The announcement was made inside the casino at 1 a.m. The winner had to be present to claim the prize at the drawing.

The previous winners, both of whom were from Texas, were Brittany Juarez from Kaufman and Rosa Guia from Lancaster. They each took home $1 million.

“I won’t have to see my kids struggle, but we will still be blessed,” Juarez said, per NBC 5 DFW. “Money doesn’t make or break us because God is first.”

After she won, Guia said, “I’m not sure what I am going to do with the money, but I have four children and 12 grandchildren. I think I will take them somewhere,” she said, per NBC 5.

3 Months. 3 Millionaires. is part of Choctaw’s $6.6 Million Summer Giveaway campaign — the largest such promotion in the history of the casino. Winners had a shot at prizes worth $10,000, $50,000, $100,000, and $1 million.

The event awarded three lucky Rewards Club members $1 million each. To enter, Rewards Club members had to use their member’s card at one of the Choctaw’s 7,400 slots or 100 game tables.

“Today, we made a third Rewards Club member an instant millionaire as part of our 3 Months. 3 Millionaires. giveaway,” said Jeff Penz, senior director of gaming and hospitality at Choctaw, in a press release. “Nothing compares to creating these life-changing moments for our guests.”

“We have had an incredible summer full of exciting events at Choctaw, and making three people millionaires was the highlight,” said Penz. “We plan on carrying the momentum from this summer into the rest of … 2023 and continuing to find new, creative ways to elevate the guest experience at Choctaw Casino & Resort – Durant.”

Stephanie S. is not the only North Texan to have recently become a millionaire. A Dallas resident won $1 million from a Mega Millions ticket during a drawing on June 30, as previously reported by The Dallas Express.

Choctaw is located an hour north of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex in Durant, Oklahoma.
